Client accounts served by one dashboard

What this actually involves

Most teams have their numbers scattered across five platforms and reconciled by hand in a spreadsheet once a month. That process is slow, error-prone, and it means decisions get made on data that is already three weeks old.

A custom dashboard pulls those sources into one place and keeps them current. I build them on Next.js with proper authentication and role-based access, connected directly to the APIs you already use, with the exports and scheduled reports your team actually needs.

A good fit if you are

  • Operations teams living in spreadsheets
  • Businesses needing internal tools no off-the-shelf product fits
  • Anyone whose reporting is a monthly ordeal

What's included

  • Custom admin panels and CRUD tools
  • Analytics dashboards (GA4, Search Console, ads)
  • Role-based access control

How it works

The process, step by step

No black boxes — you always know what stage we are at and what comes next.

  1. Requirements

Who uses it, which decisions it supports, and what each role should be allowed to see. Dashboards fail when they show everything to everyone.

  2. Data sources

Mapping every system involved, confirming API access and limits, and deciding what needs to be live versus cached.

  3. Build

Next.js and TypeScript with secure authentication, role-based access, charts, filters and export functionality.

  4. Integrate and verify

Connecting the live sources and reconciling the numbers against their originals, because a dashboard nobody trusts gets abandoned.

  5. Deploy and train

Deployment, monitoring, a walkthrough for the team and documentation for whoever inherits it.

Dashboard Development — common questions

Why not use Looker Studio or a template?

For straightforward reporting, you should — I will tell you when an off-the-shelf tool is enough. Custom becomes worthwhile when you need internal actions, unusual data sources, specific permissions or white-labelling for clients.

Which data sources can you connect?

Anything with an API: GA4, Search Console, Google and Meta Ads, Stripe, HubSpot, Shopify, Airtable, or your own database. During discovery I confirm access and rate limits before committing to anything.

Is our data secure?

Credentials stay in server-side environment variables and never reach the browser, access is role-based, actions are logged, and the whole thing sits behind authentication. Data stays in your own infrastructure.

Who owns the code?

You do, entirely, in your own repository. There is no platform to be locked into and no licence to keep paying.
