How to use this tool
- Paste your list, one item per line.
- Choose whether to trim whitespace, ignore case and sort.
- Copy or download the cleaned list.
What is Duplicate Line Remover?
Duplicate entries creep into any list that has been assembled from more than one source — exports from two tools, a spreadsheet merged with a crawl, keywords collected over months.
Left in, they inflate counts and waste time: you research the same term twice, or upload the same URL twice. Removing them is trivial but only if something does the comparison for you.
Best practices
- Trim whitespace first — " keyword" and "keyword" are different strings but the same term.
- Ignore case when deduplicating keywords; keep it case-sensitive for URLs, which can be case-sensitive on some servers.
- Preserve the original order when the list is already prioritised.
- Check the removed count against what you expected — a surprising number often means a formatting problem upstream.
Frequently asked questions
Does this change the order of my list?
Only if you ask it to. By default the first occurrence of each line keeps its original position and later duplicates are removed. Turn on sorting if you want it alphabetical instead.
Is my list sent to a server?
No. The whole thing runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded — which matters if the list is a client’s keyword research.
